Procurement scope for a film blowing machine should name the bubble path that the buyer will own: extrusion, cooling, haul-off and winding. Modules left unnamed will reappear as extras when the first roll is inspected.

Base machine

  • Extruder, screen changer, die, air ring, tower and haul-off as one mechanical envelope.
  • Standard tooling limited to the die diameter and screw diameter named in the RFQ; extra dies and IBC remain listed items.

Packaging converters usually freeze layflat width, thickness window and treatment level before comparing quotes. State whether the roll is sold as film or converted in-house so winding hardness and core size can be quoted.

When shrink, lamination or heavy-duty sacks share one tower, list each structure separately. ABA construction is a layer arrangement, not a barrier proof; EVOH or PA layers need their own trial definition.

Which procurement scope is covered by a film blowing machine?

Base machine

  • The quoted envelope should reach a wound roll, not stop at a stable bubble.
  • Die and screw sizes are comparison keys; they do not replace the buyer’s film specification.
How are resin types and layer ratios specified for each trial roll?

Name each layer’s polymer family, MFI range and mass or thickness ratio on that roll. Record whether reclaim may re-enter the feedstock. A trial that uses only virgin LDPE does not represent a three-layer ABA structure with recycle in the core.
